Barbara
Meet Barbara Veréb: a talented photographer, retoucher, and makeup artist. With a passion for beauty and visual storytelling, Barbara embarked on her journey into the world of photography in 2014. Following her childhood dream, she further honed her skills in makeup artistry, working extensively as a Makeup Artist for several years.
Barbara’s unique perspective, shaped by her experience in both the beauty industry and photography, brings a fresh and innovative approach to her work. Having collaborated with numerous makeup artists, models, and renowned brands, Barbara’s portfolio boasts an impressive array of beauty, makeup, and skincare imagery.
Join us as Barbara shares her expertise and insights, gleaned from years of experience in the beauty and photography realms. Through her guidance, participants will gain invaluable knowledge and inspiration to elevate their portfolios and craft compelling visual narratives.
Adrienn
Introducing Adrienn Bodor: a makeup artist based in Zürich, Switzerland.
With a background in producing photoshoots, films, and cultural events, Adrienn’s creative journey has been enriched by a deep appreciation for art history and visual communication. Adrienn’s entrepreneurial vein and penchant for creative opportunities set her apart in the industry. Drawing inspiration from her experience with cultural and technology startups, she approaches her business processes with a fresh perspective, always looking for innovative ways to push boundaries and think outside the box.
Trained under the guidance of Fibi Kassai in Budapest, Adrienn has continued to refine her skills through advanced training courses and workshops in London, Zürich, and Budapest.

Concept to Capture is a Portfolio Booster Photoshoot Workshop designed for Makeup Artists. Led by makeup artist Adrienn Bodor and photographer Barbara Veréb, the interactive workshop is designed to provide artists with the tools, techniques, and inspiration needed to elevate their portfolios to attract their dream clients. Drawing on Adrienn’s background in art and design management, coupled with Barbara’s extensive experience in both makeup artistry and photography, this workshop offers a unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise.
The Workshop

In this session, we’ll focus on transforming your portfolio (and future paid or TFP (Time for Print)) shoots into powerful business opportunities that attract clients. Adrienn will guide you in sourcing visual references, researching historical and current trends, and crafting concepts that uniquely express your creative style while aligning with future client needs. By the end of the workshop, you will have a clear creative vision for your portfolio booster session and beyond, maximizing the impact of your portfolio.
The workshop will be recorded for your convenience so no worries if you book your spot later.
The Feedback Session
Date: 22 & 24 May 2024
Time: 30 minute slots from 9.00 – 17.00 each day
Location: Online
During personalized 30-minute feedback session where we’ll review your moodboard for the photoshoot and assist you in selecting the perfect model to bring your envisioned look to life. We’ll delve into all aspects, including makeup, hair, styling, and model choice, while also exploring the larger context of your look and how it aligns with your short and long-term goals.
Other spots will be available after the given dates as well.
The Photo Session
Date: 28 & 29 May 2024
Time: 4 hour slots each day from 9.00 to 18.00 (there will be overlapping time with fellow makeup artists)
Location: DeinPortrait Studio (Riedstrasse 6, 8953 Dietikon)
You will spend approximately 4 hours in a professional photo studio experience, where every moment is dedicated to capturing your makeup artistry at its finest. You’ll have ample time to execute your makeup look with precision, receiving instant feedback from Barbara and Adrienn to refine your technique along the way. As Barbara captures your makeup look in your preferred beauty light setup, you’ll have the opportunity to review your work live on-screen, ensuring every detail is perfected to your satisfaction. Following the photo session, you’ll join Barbara to review the images together, selecting the top three for retouching that will elevate your portfolio.

Do I need to take part in the Workshop?
While participation in the workshop is not mandatory, it offers numerous benefits for makeup artists looking to enhance their skills and elevate their portfolios. By joining the workshop, participants gain insights on how to grow their portfolios strategically to book clients they want to target. We share our experience and insights on creating concepts that allows makeup artists to step into the role of an art director for their portfolio and TFP shoots. The workshop comes with moodboard, sed card, pitch and communication templates that we’ve already used to build teams, get sponsors and publish editorials.
Can I join the workshop only?
Yes, absolutely! You have the option to book only the workshop if you prefer.
Do you offer discounts?
Yes! We offer discounts for various groups:
Student and Fresh Graduate Discount: Students and recent graduates can enjoy a discount. Proof of education and graduation is required.
Group Booking Discount: If you book together with a fellow makeup artist, both of you can enjoy a discount.

What if I book my spot after the workshop and feedback sessions take place?
If you book your spot after the workshop and feedback sessions have taken place, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered. Here’s how we can accommodate your situation:
Recorded Workshop: The workshop will be recorded, allowing you to access the content at your convenience.
Last Minute Feedback Appointments: We’ll provide last-minute feedback appointments by May 27th. This will give you the chance to receive guidance and insights tailored to your specific needs, ensuring you get the most out of your photo session.

Can I book a photo session outside of the event?
No, currently booking a photo session outside of the event is not possible. However, our goal is to organize portfolio boost sessions multiple times a year. How many looks can I create during the photoshoot?
You can create as many looks as you’d like during the photoshoot! There are no limits. You’ll have approximately 2 hours to bring your makeup artistry to life. While we recommend planning looks that can transition smoothly from one another, the decision is entirely up to you.
Will models be provided for the photoshoot session?
Models are not provided for the photoshoot session. However, with the help of our partner Freichy.Lu Management, we can assist you in finding the right model for your envisioned looks if needed. Alternatively, you’re welcome to bring your own model to the session. However there are some criteria for models: no false lashes, lip injections or cosmetic tattoos are recommended for a nice result.
